Lavender Launch

Lavender Launch is the annual celebration to support our LGBTQ and Ally graduates. This ceremony recognizes their leadership, achievement, and contributions to the ECU community and features a keynote speaker and the presentation of the graduates. Held in May each year, the event is open to family, friends, colleagues, and the University community.  The evening includes the presentation of the Samantha Hamilton Award for LGBTQA Leadership Excellence (presented to a student or students), as well as the Community Impact Award (presented to a faculty, staff, alumni, or community member).

Full details on the 2025 ceremony will be announced at the start of the Spring 2025 semester.
