LGBTQ Student Panels

LGBTQ Student Panels provided by the Peel LGBTQ Center help to facilitate dialogue and create opportunities for understanding. Panelists are student volunteers who have received training for this work. Each panel consists of three to four students who are willing to share their experiences as members of the LGBTQ community in a respectful and supportive environment. Panels are available for classrooms, clubs and organizations, and residence halls. We prefer at least three weeks notice to arrange a panel for you.

We ask that you prepare your students for the panel presentation. Questions directed to the panel should be respectful and geared toward building a better understanding for all involved. Panelists do not come prepared to answer a set list of questions. They arrive ready to serve the needs of your course or group. The panels are most successful when the audience has put some forethought into the presentation and have some questions prepared in advance.
