From the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

Welcome to East Carolina University’s Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center.

The vision of the Division of Student Affairs at ECU is to foster an environment where all students achieve their academic and personal goals. The Peel LGBTQ Center helps to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for the entire campus community, not just serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students. It provides programs and services that optimize student learning and leadership as well as creates opportunities for conversation and dialogue.

We know that the support, services and programming offered by the center are critical components to student success at ECU and we encourage you to get engaged as a volunteer, participate in programs and take advantage of the resources online and inside the center. We value the uniqueness of people, cultures, and perspectives.
